The Hot Metal construction of the Mizuno MX-1000 Irons is created by plasma welding a thin, hot, ES230 maraging steel face to a high tech stainless steel body. This exotic construction delivers COR numbers that reach the legal limit. Hot Metal Technology in the MX-1000 irons features a very thin, strong, and hot ES230 maraging steel face, a first for iron design in the United States, plasma welded to a high tech stainless steel body. Incorporating Mizuno’s HOT METAL concept into iron design, the MX-1000 is for golfers looking for an extreme combination of distance and forgiveness. 

TECHNOLOGY

Along with the revolutionary Hot Metal face technology, the MX-1000s utilize innovative Hollow Technology construction with strategically placed internal weighting that further enhances MOI, providing maximum forgiveness all across the face. An additional benefit of Hollow Technology construction is a super low and deep COG, which delivers and easy, high and straight ball flight. Additional features of the new MX-1000 irons include a wide sole with a rolled leading edge and aggressively beveled trailing edge which greatly reduces digging to deliver pure ball striking from all types of lies, and a durable double nickel chrome plated finish with a finely detailed electroformed medallion for an impressive and exotic look.
